Waxman Energy's First GoodWe Battery Storage Training
ELLAND, UK: Last week (18.02.2016) we opened our doors and welcomed professionals from the solar industry in order to present the first of four battery storage training days, dedicated to providing further information about GoodWe’s latest offering. It was a great success with candidates from across the country coming away with valuable information about the technical aspects of the emerging technology. Held at our sister company, Waxman Training Academy, situated at our HQ in Grove Mills, Elland West Yorkshire, the training day helped people from various backgrounds in solar to become educated on PV battery storage and how it can help current and new users to benefit from solar, after FiT cuts.
The large decline in solar PV subsidies means that installers are looking for new ways to ensure solar is a viable alternative to grid fed electricity. Without a favourable incentive from the Government, less people are inclined to take up solar, even though it is now more affordable than ever with far more benefits than the FiT alone, this is why battery storage holds a vital key for the future of solar PV.
Once a pricy commodity, PV battery storage is now much more cost-effective with higher technological benefits to boot. GoodWe’s offering caters for new and existing solar PV installations with its BP retrofit and ES hybrid systems helping end-users become more self-sufficient and gain more control over the energy they use.
In the training these products were introduced and further explained to provide installers, retailers and sales people with further knowledge as to the way they work, their installation and maintenance. The Training Academy was almost full to the brim with eager candidates and along with theoretical explanations, they benefitted greatly from the in-house dummy model for further hands-on experience.
