  • Partners Tigo and Waxman Energy Offer Enhanced Energy Yield and Design Flexibility Through Innovative ‘Tigo System’.

Partners Tigo and Waxman Energy Offer Enhanced Energy Yield and Design Flexibility Through Innovative ‘Tigo System’.

Ahead of the anticipated Tigo product training day on 6th June, we look at our partnership with Tigo and how their ‘Tigo System’ utilises smart module technology to harvest the maximum amount of energy from your PV system whilst increasing overall performance.

This year has seen Waxman Energy partner with several new brands, with Tigo Energy fast becoming a favourite with installers due to a greater price and design flexibility than the leading brand, including monitoring at panel and string level.

Perfectly designed for roofs challenged by shading, the TS4 platform includes three universal panel junction box bases and six cover options, of which Waxman Energy have selected the TS4-R-X (retrofit) and TS4-R-O Optimiser (yellow cover) as the best fit for our product portfolio.

    What We Offer

TS4-R-O single optimiser - A retrofit base that addresses the need for add-on universal solution that can connect to any existing PV system with TS4-R-O cover for safety and monitoring.

Cloud Connect Advanced - one of the smallest solar data loggers on the market offering real-time analysis.

Tigo Access Point -Improves the data management of any solar PV system through seamless communication with the Tigo smart modules.

Available to buy straight from our website, the Tigo TS4-R-O Single Optimiser, Tigo Access Point (TAP) and the Cloud Connect Advanced with Gateway, work seamlessly together to harvest maximum energy at a minimal cost and offers increased yields for customers with shade and mismatch tolerance.

Speaking of our new partnership, Tigo’s North European Sales Manager, Parminder Singh Panesar commented

"Tigo are very excited to go into partnership with Waxman Energy in the United Kingdom. In doing so, we have another Tier-one Distribution Channel for our smart technology."

It is this technology that sets Tigo apart from its competitors, as not only does the optimiser work with any MPPT inverter and battery charger making it more suitable for the growing retrofit market, but it is not required on every panel - offering a winning combination not yet available from other optimisers on the market. In comparison to the leading brand, choosing the Tigo System with TS4 platform for maximum energy harvesting is a solid choice.

For easy monitoring on the go, the Tigo app and website offer tools that efficiently manage both commercial and residential PV systems seamlessly. These include stats on production and reclaimed energy, as well as alerts for maintenance, ensuring systems operate at maximum efficiency.  The website also allows remote power-off for each individual panel for safety purposes.

As well as the introduction of the three new products which make up the ‘Tigo System’, we are also pleased to offer installers an opportunity to find out more about the full Tigo range by holding a free product training event at our Waxman Energy headquarters in West Yorkshire. Lead by Tigo’s Northern European Sales Manager, Parminder Singh Panesar, the full day training is interactive with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. By the end of the training, attendees will gain an understanding into the full Tigo product range and how the Tigo system can work for you and your customers.

    About Tigo

Founded in Silicon Valley, 2007, Tigo’s vision is to “increase customer’s ROI by delivering smart PV technology, designed to yield maximum energy harvest and safety at minimal cost”.  Operating in the USA, Central & South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Japan, China, Australia, the South Pacific, and the Middle East, their expertise in semiconductors, power electronics, and solar energy lead them to develop the solar industry's first ever first-generation Smart Module Optimizer technology.

Waxman Energy is delighted to be partnered with such an innovative and growing firm.

"Tigo is the only certified multivendor MLPE solution to bring optimization to both commercial and residential PV systems, and since Waxman Energy provides many of the inverters and modules compatible with Tigo, this was a natural fit for both companies”

said Panesar who speaks favourably of their move towards the future with Waxman Energy

"Waxman have been a creditable Distributor in the Solar Industry for a significant number of years with a name everyone can trust. Our combined technical knowledge and unparalleled customer service will be a significant local resource for the growing solar market here."
